How to Grow Eyebrows

Have you over-plucked and over-pruned? Are you desperately seeking ways to grow your eyebrows? Well, all hope is not lost. In this guide we will show you how to grow eyebrows so you can get your dignity back. Just make sure you’re not so trigger happy with the tweezers next time.

How to Grow Eyebrows: Minoxidil

One of the first treatments that you need to consider is Minoxidil. This is typically used to help with hair growth on the head, but it can work just as effectively on the face. There are a number of people who have used Minoxidil to grow out their beard, and often to great effect. The principle is the same, and if you simply want to speed up the eyebrow growth process and you don’t have a problem with alopecia or anything similar, then it should work even better.

Even if you have issues with alopecia then you should still be able to grow some hair using this treatment. That’s what it was designed for after all. And because you’re working with very little hair and you don’t need a huge amount of growth then you should be able to see better results and to see those results quicker.

You need to make sure that you don’t get it in your eyes and you should also look to avoid too much contact with the rest of your skin. It should be relatively safe, but it may also trigger hair growth in areas where you don’t want it. So, read the label, be very careful and don’t treat it like it’s completely safe and completely harmless, because it’s not.

How to Grow Eyebrows: Vitamins

If you’re worried about the safety of Minoxidil then you can always just stick with natural products, such as vitamins and minerals. These may not be as effective, but they are abundantly available, they are safe, they are cheap and research suggests that they might still be able to help.

You don’t apply these topically and you don’t even need to get them in a multi-vitamin. You just need to make sure that you get enough of the right vitamins and minerals in your diet. These include B Vitamins like Biotin. This is actually involved in the hair growth process and your body needs it to continue producing hair. Without it, the process will be slowed at best and stopped at worst. If you have plenty of it in your diet, on the other hand, then you are giving your body all it needs to grow plenty of healthy hair.

If you’re worried that you’re not getting enough, then you should consider supplementation. Many vitamin deficiencies can limit hair growth and can also cause all kinds of damage to your hair. Such is the case with a zinc deficiency, and it may also occur with an iron and Vitamin C deficiency. So, not only can adding these vitamins to your diet help with the hair growth process, both on your face and your head, but a lack of them can stop it from going through the cycle.

How to Grow Eyebrows: Supplements

Supplements to Grow Eyebrows

By supplements, we don’t necessarily mean multi-vitamins, although the best ones do contain a wealth of essential vitamins that can help with the hair growth process. They also contain extracts, minerals and other ingredients that have been shown to help with hair loss, but are just as natural as vitamins.

Such is the case with Hairfinity, a product that is said to promote hair growth and is taken in tablet form. Again, the purpose of these products is to help the hair on your head grow, but because they help with the overall hair growth process, they can also speed-up growth on your face.

Everything from nettle extract and horsetail extract to blueberry extract and lemon peel has been used in one hair growth formula or another. How effective these actually are is anyone’s guess and its unlikely that they will do anything on their own. But when you combine them with other ingredients and bring them together into one super supplement, then you have something that will almost certainly deliver some results.

The key here is not to spend too much money and not to get too caught up in fancy sounding ingredients or well designed packaging. Supplement companies work on big margins. They tend to use cheap base ingredients before adding a few extracts here and there, spending a lot on design and promotion and then adding a huge label to the bottle. You just don’t need to pay this, not when you consider that you can get the same results by buying these ingredients separately and creating the product yourself.

How to Grow Eyebrows: Oils

Oil can be a great lubricant, forming a barrier to protect the hair follicles. And if the oil is full of nutrients then it can also slowly leech those nutrients into the follicle, allowing it to grow strong hair from root to tip. There are many oils out there that fit this description. The one we have talked about the most here on Hair Growth Oils is castor oil. Not only is it a lubricating and protecting oil, but it is full of Vitamin C, which is great for those bald or balding eyebrows and for the skin around them.

Olive oil is also very popular. It is loaded with nutrients as well and is a very potent and beneficial substance. The same applies to coconut oil and argan oil. All of these oils are common in cooking and they are often eaten raw as well to get the full benefits. That’s not going to do much for your eyebrow growth, but if you apply them directly then they should be able to help. They don’t mix of course, but you don’t need to use them together.

Essential oils also fall into this category and can be just as effective, albeit for different reasons. These oils need to be diluted, and they often work by cleaning the area of growth-inhibiting bacteria. They may not be as effective and they certainly won’t work as quickly. But you can add these to other ingredients and you can also apply them while taking vitamins and supplements. Although you should probably avoid applying them with Minoxidil.
